We have just taken delivery of the draft consultants report by Mr. Barry L. Henricksen on the UNSDI Implementation Strategy which formed a key input for the UNSDI Architecture Group meeting, held at FAO Headquarters from 18-20 September. This very comprehensive report is made up of three sections:
As a result of the meeting over the past three days a Section IV on the UNSDI Architecture will be added to the report by about 15 October. In view of the quality of the draft report and its interest to a wide variety of potential stakeholders, the UNGIWG Secretariat has decide the make the first three sections of the report available on the UNGIWG website, www.ungiwg.org, for consultation at this stage. I would suggest that for the time being you consider the draft report for information as, once section IV is added, we will specifically request your comments and inputs on the entire final report for the UNGIWG-7 Plenary in Santiago from 2-4 November. 09.10.2006 The Collaboration@Rural project kicked off in Madrid on 11th September with a two-day meeting hosted by Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios S.A. The project?s budget is ?14.9M, with the European Commission funding ?8.6M.
